As a Windows Systems Platform Engineer at A2 Hosting you will help us further develop our platforms and products as we continue to grow! A2 Hosting is a premier high-performance Linux and Windows hosting company with clients around the world and this position is an integral part of the Operations Team providing exceptional products and services.
We are looking for an experienced individual ready to join our global team to continually improve upon our existing product platforms and keep us up-to-date with new and innovative products and technologies.
This role is open for applicants who can work within any of the four US time zones. This position is 100% remote and you can work anywhere in the world.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct new product R&D and competitive analysis.
Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the Infrastructure, Support and Technical Operations teams.
Design, develop, and implement software integrations based on user feedback.
Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
Create new tools and improve on existing tools to help automate tasks for our Technical Operations and Support teams supporting our Operations as a Service initiative.
Maintain and improve service quality and reliability across our complex set of services.
Coordinate with vendors to debug and fix upstream issues.
Document configuration standards, troubleshooting steps and platform designs.
Design, implement and optimize the company's Windows computing architecture.
Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
Participate in the on-call rotation.
8+ years Windows system administration experience, including managing and securing a Windows Active Directory environment.
Expert knowledge with configuration management systems and the ability to write new modules and modify existing modules (cfEngine, Salt, etc.)
Expert knowledge securing and configuring public facing Windows servers and services such as IIS and Microsoft SQL Server.
Excellent understanding of the .Net Framework, HTML, PHP and the ability to troubleshoot advanced errors.
Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting software on the command line (PowerShell).
Expertise working in an Agile environment.
Working knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Python) and code versioning tools such as Git (preferably in conjunction with GitLab).
Strong problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work on your own or as a team in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Experience with web hosting software such as cPanel, Plesk, WHMCS, Kayako.
