The Global Brand Leader, Aleve supports the Global Brand Director, Aleve in leading selected international projects for the brand. As a key member of the Global Category Business Unit (GCBU), the Global Brand Leader (GBL) is a driving force behind the Aleve brand globally. The key business objective of the position is to ensure development and implementation of profitable business growth models, marketing excellence and strategic plans for the Aleve business.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the GCBU in leading the Global Category Team (GCT), including Global strategic category plans, category innovation strategy roadmap and timeline and 5-year financial ambition, with strong inputs from clusters (key markets)
Support the GBD (Global Brand Director) to define mid-long-term strategy, scope of work as well as implement work streams
Support the GBD to leverage the diversity of the GCT most effectively
Support GCT alignment and partner country ambassadorship for global brand strategy including innovation pipeline
Supports the GBD to define consumer target, brand positioning, architecture
Ensures alignment with cross functional team, including, for example regulatory, medical, marketing excellence to support implementation of brand strategy
Lead Global Design and Packaging projects (creative, qualification and implementation)
Develop compelling global platform communication ideas with Agency and GCT partner markets and share with all markets
Collaborate effectively with global agencies to maximize creative output. Responsible for briefing, presentations, consumers testing, and handover to all markets
Develop / Compile Brand Experiences Toolkits (BET) to maximize global reapplication; Updates BET to drive reapplication of proven success drivers and best practice in non GCT markets
Responsible to accelerate the Global Digital Strategy and Implement a variety of Digital Programs across the markets.
Support to strengthen consumer centric innovation pipeline (commercial and product innovation - development of consumer offerings and consumer engagement)
Responsible for controlling the budget
Responsible for the maintenance and updating of the Intranet and Internet sites
Responsible for coordinating specific brand projects such as workshops, meetings, etc
Participate in research projects (writing briefs, country liaison, defining learnings and next steps, etc)
Responsible for sales reporting analysis (monthly brand reports, specific requests, etc)
Support pre-launch readiness of the approved Regional Rollout Plans.
WHO YOU ARE
Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Bachelor’s Degree is required; MBA preferred
Must have a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in OTC or FMCG (regulated FMCG is desirable) industry experience with track record of success
Required experience in country marketing operations and possibly in international, preferably global role
Having a startup experience is desirable
Must be digital savvy
Leadership qualities ideally in cross functional and cross-cultural teams along with strong interpersonal skills
Must be a strong communicator with the ability to lead by influence
Must be comfortable with ambiguity
Well-rounded English communication skills is required
The candidate must be capable of making oral and written high level and inspiring presentations on a senior management level
Innovation experience (R&D, Project Management) is required
