Job Description 

Position requires knowledge of all production process areas across plant. Responsible for tending machines to compound and process ingredients according to formula to make pigments or glass powders or paste colors. Weighs ingredients and dumps, pours, pumps or shovels them into machine or containers. Packages product according to customer specifications.


This position is responsible for learning all process centers in the production area of the plant. In particular, employee will:

Work with raw materials, batching, mixing, weighing and dumping ingredients, packaging, in-process testing, and operation of numerous types of equipment. Tends machines which compound and process ingredients according to a formula to make ceramic pigment or glass enamel paste application colors. Enters transactions of production orders through each process center into SAP computer system to facilitate tracking of order, materials issued and consumed, direct labor hours and inventory control. Performs light maintenance on equipment. Packages product according to customer specifications Other duties as required.


High School diploma or equivalent with basic math skills. Prior manufacturing batch operation experience, certified towmotor operator license preferable. Heavy physical labor requirements.

  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds drums, barrels, totes, saggers, etc.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required. Shifts can be

    either 8 or 12 hour shifts. 

  • Ability to learn SAP computer system.
  • Must possess good math and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
