Title: Sr Associate, Material Control Analyst
Location: Salt Lake City, UT . Relocation is NOT offered at this time.
The Material Control Analyst will be responsible for managing the efficient movement of purchased material between MRP groups and reviewing/approving both unplanned material requests and purchase requisitions. Also responsible for managing excess & obsolete materials and assisting with coordination activities relative to material mitigation strategies.
Plans and manages material movement with internal customers including purchasing, warehouse, and production.
Uses various Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools in the enterprise system (SAP) and is responsible for helping maintain data integrity.
Reviews and approves unplanned material purchase requests.
May assist with research and mitigation strategies for identified material shortages.
May create Manual Purchase Requisitions for non-production and service related items.
May assist with the Contract Closeout process.
May assist with management of excess and obsolete materials.
May develop and maintain various tracking and reporting tools.
Other duties as assigned
This position requires a Bachelor's degree AND 2+ years related experience
OR 8+ years MRP and Purchase Req experience
Must have experience with Inventory Control
Must have 2+ years working within a major ERP
Must have 2+ years working with material purchase requests
Advanced using MS Word and MS Excel are required
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, is detail oriented and quality focused.
Has exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
Knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Project preferred
Knowledge of SAP is a plus
Excellent organizational skills, independent thinking, and a high level of initiative.
Possesses critical thinking and problem solving skills and able to manage competing priorities.
