The Cloud Marketing team is looking for a talented individual to join a great team focused on creating business models to drive revenue for the C+E business. As a Business Planner on the Core Platform Business Planning team, you will own the business strategy and pricing models for our operating system business spanning Linux and Windows Server across Azure, hybrid, and on-premises scenarios. You will lead a virtual team of passionate peers from engineering, product marketing, finance and sales with accountability to develop and deliver the monetization strategy for your products. You will be on a highly supportive and inclusive business planning team, where coaching and resources are prioritized to ensure your growth and success.
On the Core Platform team, we are looking to break new ground in how we leverage our strengths in the Windows OS and our partnerships with multiple Linux providers as a key growth driver for Azure. Areas of responsibility in this role include:
Identify emerging trends and potential areas of growth for Windows Server and Linux on Azure and hybrid environments
Drive market intelligence and customer insights to formulate strategic vision and inform business model and pricing recommendations
Leading cross-functional teams with engineering, product marketing and finance teams to develop product monetization strategy and price points
Create business model requirements and lead workstreams across product and commerce teams to drive change and impact
Evangelize and land new business model and pricing strategies with field and partners
Develop key business performance metrics and reporting in partnership with Finance
The ideal candidate will have a track record of working with a large group of internal partners to define and execute strategic initiatives with passion, precision, and excellence. The ideal candidate will also have excellent analytical problem-solving skills and be able to develop solutions meeting competing requirements, using data to drive decision making. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key projects. A minimum of five years in product marketing, finance, and/or business planning required. BS/BA degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
