Position Description :
Summary of Accountabilities: Aids the radiologists, doctors and other UPHS team members in completing procedures and tests, according to department and UPHS protocols. Prepares patients for procedures, ensures their readiness for procedures and all paperwork and images ready for viewing. May also perform procedures consistent with section protocols and guidelines and within terms of licensure. Communicates need for and acquires supplies needed for proper execution of procedure (ie. Contrast, catheters, patient monitoring apparatus) Operates radiologic equipment using proper techniques and patient positioning to produce high quality images while maintaining as low as possible radiation doses to the patients, staff and self.

Minimum Requirements :
Certifications/Degree Requirements:
 Board Certified Radiology Practitioner Assistant (Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants (CBRPA))
 Must be ARRT
 Graduated from an approved Radiologic Technology Program
 Must maintain continuing education credits for certification
 Current CPR certification, required.

Additional Information :
Work Requirements:
Monday to Fridays with on-call responsibilities. Hours of work determined by the Clinical Service to meet the needs of patient care. Hospital continuing education to meet the requirements of the system and as per TJC. Minimum requirements for continuing education as outlined by credentialing agency and State Board of Nursing.
