Position Description:
Princeton Health is currently searching for a Per Diem, Day, Certified Cardio-Pulm Tech for the Princeton Medical Center, Electrocardiography Unit.

The certified cardiopulmonary technician will play a lead role in the daily operations of the outpatient non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing area. The certified cardiopulmonary technician must have proficiency in all non-invasive cardiac procedures including all cardiac stress tests (Myoview/Thallium, Dobutamine, Treadmill and Persantine), Pulmonary Exercise tests, Stress Echocardiograms, and Regular Stress Tests. Additional skills include proficiency in Holter Monitoring, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Transtelephonic Event Monitoring, Cardiac Loops and EKGs. The certified cardiopulmonary technician is a resource for the EKG/Stress Testing team.

Some job functions and duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Accurately performs Holter Monitor and Ambulatory Blood Pressure application under the order of a physician.
2. Physiologic monitoring of the cardiopulmonary system (ECG and Exercise Tolerance Testing by both chemical or regular)
3. Assists in the patient preparation for and blood pressure monitoring during various stress testing procedures including; Myoview/Thallium, Dobutamine, Treadmill, Persantine, Pulmonary Exercise, Stress Echo, and regular cardiac stress testing.
4. Performs various routine and specialized procedures necessary for the documentation and interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart
5. Provide support for noninvasive cardiac diagnostic testing with equipment set-ups, ordering supplies and acts as liaison between Radiology, Cardiopulmonary, and Cardiologists
6. Prepares patient for, applies cardiac diagnostic testing equipment and instructs patient on their role in the use of Holter Monitoring, 24-hour Blood Pressure Monitoring, Transtelephonic Event Monitoring, and Cardiac Loop Monitoring and Electrocardiograms.
Minimum Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum 2 years' experience non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing

- BLS

- A minimum of one of the following certifications:

- Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT)

- Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist

- Proficient in Non diagnostic Cardiac diagnostics including EKG, Stress Equipment, Holter Scanner and recorders, Event Monitor

- Ability to work independently

- Basic Computer knowledge including Windows Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- A customer service orientation, a teamwork approach, flexibility, organizational and problem-solving skills

This is a per diem opportunity with hours between 7am-5pm; Saturday/Sunday availability required
